Three challenges for my 40th year - an Olympic distance triathlon, a half-marathon run and a bike ride of 1,000-odd miles from Land's End to John o'Groats - all in aid of the Northamptonshire Community Foundation, supporting the Olympic athletes of the future.
With thanks to my late aunt, Jean Abdee, whose legacy has helped make this possible.

Bike route 27
As traffic free as it gets ( but I wouldn't like to be on a racing bike down here.)
Ruth you are doing well. I have just got back from Devon in the car having holidayed with our daughter her husband and grandchildren and I could not believe how hilly it was. Several weeks ago my mate and I rode our motorcycles up to the Highlands and on the way I met a cyclist who had ridden from Cornwall and when I said that Scotland was hilly he disagreed and said that compared to Cornwall they were merely humps in the road.So you are getting the hard part done now. Stay safe, Regards
